As a mostly self-teaching artist, I enjoy exploring unusual color combinations and lively mark-making in a loosely realist style.  I often have a visceral, emotional reaction to my subjects and paint what I love.  Painting is the avocation where you can ‘fail better’, over and over.  I also do pet portraits (satisfaction guaranteed!) and have had two drawings published in Plein Air (October 2023) and Color Pencil (November 2023) magazines.
