My home state of Wisconsin is on the “Fresh Coast” of the U.S., surrounded on 3 sides by the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River.  It’s a gentle landscape with northern forests, iconic farms, rolling fields, and vast horizons of blue water.  I grew up in a large and loving family where appreciation of nature and the importance of environmental stewardship were stressed.

I'm most known for my paintings of birds, but my focus has been changing to portraiture.  This is an exciting new journey for me!  In a world of digital snapshots, a painting is by its very nature, elevated.  The training it took for the artist to become accomplished, the time it took to create the work, and the artistic inspiration behind it combine to create something that stands the test of time.
